The winery was founded in 2006 by Vasile Lungu and today they own over 132 hectares of wine under production in a historical region.
The vineyards were previously owned by a family of Moldovan nobles from Iasi, known as Negruzzi, but were completely abandoned after the communist era. Modern technology and experimental approach to wines brought the winery national and international recognition. The wines have a specific connection with the land and history. Their Busuioacă de Bohotin, created in different range of styles, has got significant attention becoming a tremendous success for the winery.
Other international grape varieties include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Banc, Traminer and Cabernet Sauvignon.
